Running Event Announces 2022 Educational Program

The Running Event, a premier specialty retail conference and trade show, scheduled for Nov. 29 – Dec. 1 in Austin, Texas, has announced its 2022 educational program.

“Our team has built an actionable, relevant, and impactful educational program with learning opportunities for all roles and levels spanning the three-day event,” said Christina Henderson, event director, The Running Event. “Attendees can expect to hear fresh perspectives from a range of voices and will leave Austin with applicable, real-world takeaways that can be strategically implemented in their businesses.

Taking place Tuesday, Nov. 29, the 2022 Conference Program will feature more than 20 sessions, including six 90-minute deep dive sessions that will examine some of the biggest challenges facing specialty retail and event management professionals.

New “How-To” sessions for owners, managers and sales associates will provide direct, role-specific insights, while other sessions will focus on topics spanning marketing, professional development, business best practices, diversity, equity and inclusion, sustainability, and more.

As part of the conference program team, Running Insight Editor Michael Jacobsen helped to steer educational focus areas based on his industry experience and network. Jacobsen said, “The 2022 program reflects the industry’s current needs and will provide attendees with countless opportunities for continued growth and success—pertaining to both businesses and careers.”

This year’s educational offerings will extend beyond the conference program, providing free, engaging learning opportunities to all attendees. Located in the exhibit hall, the Training Camp theater will host thoughtful, educational presentations delivered by leading organizations and experts.
