Outdoor Media Summit to ‘Speed Date’ Brands, Media at Event

Outdoor Media Summit is changing how brands and media connect over gear. On the first day of the Outdoor Media Summit, invited brands will have the opportunity to participate in a “speed date” format of product showcase.

Twenty-five brands and their PR teams will have the opportunity to pitch dozens of the outdoor industry’s most prolific gear review professionals. Brands will have 10 minutes with each media member, after which, the media will move on so that each brand has the chance to meet the maximum number of participating outlets.

“Outdoor brands and media are hungry for a new way to connect over gear,” said Yoon Kim, founder, Outdoor Media Summit. “We’re excited to see that the biggest names in the outdoor industry are choosing OMS as their next gathering place.”

Brands will be limited to either a 10×10 or 10×20 space and will be encouraged to limit the number of products they pitch. Only brands with new products will be invited to participate in the event.

Brands will be given the media list beforehand so they can research each participating journalist before meeting. At the end of the event, the journalists will vote on their favorite products. Winners will be announced during the Outdoor Media Awards.

The OMS team anticipates 30 to 40 of the outdoor industry’s most powerful gear reviewers will attended. New Gear Speed Date will be limited to 25 brands. There are only 250 tickets available for Outdoor Media Summit 2023, which has sold out every year since the first show in 2015. This year’s conference takes place from Sept. 24-26, at The Grove Hotel in Boise, Idaho.
