Celerant Technology, a provider of retail software for the firearm’s industry, has partnered with Tactical Gear Distributors, a wholesaler of performance firearms, ammunition and tactical gear for military, law enforcement and shooting sports retailers. Through the integration, dealers can streamline their ordering and sell more products in-store and online with less effort.
Through Celerant’s point of sale, dealers can access Tactical Gear Distributors’ product catalog and import the items they want to sell. By importing products, dealers can build their product database, ensure they have the most current product data, and eliminate manual data entry. In addition, dealers can maintain compliance by syncing the data with Celerant’s integrated bound book, or with Celerant’s integrations to third-party A&D software providers.
Dealers can reorder inventory from TGD by sending electronic purchase orders from within Celerant’s back office software. Dealers also can reorder inventory automatically by setting up min/max stock levels for items with high turnover. When inventory is low, Celerant’s retail software can create and send purchase orders to TGD, to help dealers replenish their stock exactly when they need it; reducing overstock and out-of-stocks.
Celerant’s eCommerce platform allows dealers to pull and display Tactical Gear Distributors’ product feeds, including product names, descriptions and images. This enables dealers to launch their eCommerce websites faster, by pulling all the product descriptions and images from TGD. Celerant also offers in-store kiosks that integrate with TGD, allowing dealers to capture more sales in-store. When a customer at the store wants a product that is out of stock or a product the dealer doesn’t typically carry, the dealer can pull up TGD’s entire in-stock inventory, make the sale from the kiosk, and have the customer pick up their order once the store receives the merchandise from TGD.
