Maloja Expands Sales Teams in North America

Germany-based high-performance, mountain apparel brand Maloja has sets its eye on growth in North America with an increased sales representative presence. Maloja will be previewing its new collection at the Outdoor Retailer Winter +Snow Show 2018.

“As we look to the future of the brand, we see North America as a large opportunity in our overall global objectives,” said Landon Stirling, President for Maloja North America. “We are continuing to grow our retail presence and provide top quality service to our customers through our dedicated and passionate sales force.”

The full team of sales representatives has a long history in the outdoor apparel industry as well as a passion for outdoor recreation. Upper Hollow Partners located in Stowe Vermont will continue to develop strategic partnerships with customers in New England and the Mid Atlantic, led by partners Kate Ball-Young, Wally Young and Alex Dossin. Representing California and Nevada, Adrienne Schneider of Alpine Sports Marketing and Sales is an independent manufacturer’s representation firm, specializing in the bicycle, ski, tactical and outdoor markets. Throughout the firm’s history, they have represented both well-established brands and pioneered new lines into the U.S. market. Soul in the Woods, meanwhile, is Maloja’s agency of record for the Northwest and Rocky Mountain Territory including Washington, Oregon, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Colorado and New Mexico. Soul in the Woods owner Carter Rowand is based out of Sun Valley, Idaho, where he along with family operate Bavarian Soul, the first retail store to carry Maloja in the USA.

Rounding out the North American agency teams are three firms in Canada. Jeff Parkhill and his Parkhill Agency brings the knowledge of more than 20 years of outdoor industry experience to support the work of their buyers in British Colombia and Alberta. Agence Sports’ Nicolas Desroches and Luc Luchaine will nurture existing and build new relationships with key retailers in Quebec. Desroches will handle eastern Quebec while Luchaine will handle western Quebec.

“Our story coupled with fresh, high quality product collections, designed in Bavaria and with a focus on EU production, provide our retail partners with a truly unique opportunity,” notes Stirling. “Our sales efforts will focus on selling-in to key customers, while our marketing efforts will increase to support our customers sell through of Maloja.”
