Sea to Summit Appoints Board Member

Sea to Summit, the global adventure equipment brand headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, has appointed Layne Rigney to Sea to Summit’s Board of Directors. Rigney joins the Board from Denver, as a non-executive director and brings years of C-level experience to help accelerate the brand in North America and EMEA.

Rigney is an experienced CEO and operating officer in the outdoor industry with previous positions as CEO at Osprey Packs and President at CamelBak. Rigney has worked extensively across North America and EMEA and looks to bring connectivity and executive-level operating experience to key growth markets for Sea to Summit.

Additionally, Rigney has experience driving industry-wide policy, sustainability efforts and increasing outdoor participation as a former Outdoor Industry Association Board Member.

“Roland Tyson, Five V, and I are extremely energized by Layne’s appointment to the Sea to Summit Board of Directors,” said Greg Dupont, CEO of Sea to Summit. “As a former CEO and president at prominent brands in the outdoor industry, Layne brings extensive experience in not only key product categories, but also across North America and EMEA. Additionally, located in the U.S., we expect a great connection and senior presence in one of our highest growth markets.”

Rigney’s appointment comes as Sally McCoy has stepped down to pursue other adventures.

Sea to Summit provides adventure equipment including sleeping bags, dry bags, sleeping mats, tents, camp kitchen, and outdoor accessories that align with its philosophy ‘to equip and inspire’ adventure.
