For more than 40 years, Stormtech Performance has been designing and supplying outdoor apparel and accessories to companies throughout the globe. From tech giants of Silicon Valley to heritage auto companies of Detroit, Stormtech has supplied outdoor apparel in the B2B space featuring exclusive technologies such as H2XTREME waterproof/breathable technology, H2X-DRY moisture management and Thermal Shell Technology.
Stormtech now enters the retail market with what it calls “a unique positioning” for retailers. The brand is focused on a limited distribution, with a focus on the outdoor specialty channel. “We see a tremendous opportunity in the outdoor specialty channel and are confident that our brand positioning and offering will resonate with the outdoor consumer,” says Michael Dalzell, vice president of marketing for Stormtech.
Stormtech’s model for sell-in and inventory management process enables the retailer to commit to smaller levels of inventory to introduce the brand, with a quick replenishment model once the product sells through. This model lessens the upfront financial risk on introducing a new brand while ensuring that they are never stuck with excess inventory at the end of a season, says the company.
In conjunction with the launch of the Fall 2018 retail collection, Stormtech is introducing an philanthropic program called The 1:1 Initiative. For every sale of $100 made through the Stormtech websites, Stormtech will donate a piece of gear to a partner organization to introduce at-risk youth to outdoor adventure.
