This season sees the pairing of Odlo’s exclusive cooling technology, Ceramicool, with a new sustainable and highly effective odor-control technology: ZeroScent.
ZeroScent is an organic-based anti-odor technology that uses silver ions from recycled sources to impair the metabolism of any bacteria, while a durable barrier film of amino sugar around the fibers prevents odor penetration. ZeroScent’s unique double action ensures the wearer stays truly “stink-free,” said the company. The technology has been introduced into Odlo’s running, cycling and baselayer categories.
The combination of ZeroScent treatment and Ceramicool cooling technology can be found in the new Blackcomb Pro-T running top, designed to keep runners cool and stink-free as warm weather draws near. According to Odlo, Ceremicool keep runners’ skin cooler 1-3⁰F during intense runs. The cooling effect is achieved in three ways:
- The yard has ceramic compounds that deflect heat away from the skin
- Increased surface area of the yarn forms small air channels that disperse body heat
- The yarn’s low bulk significantly improves breathability and ventilation
