IFAI Calls on Textile Industry’s Production Capacity

With the impact of COVID-19/coronavirus, the Industrial Fabrics Association International help of the industry to address domestic production capacity of medical products. It is asking members to take five minutes of their time to take this survey on production capabilities.

“There has been a call from the White House to the industry to receive help on supply,” said Steve Schiffman, IFAI president and CEO. “This survey is an immediate priority, please respond within the next 24 hours and forward to the most appropriate person in your company to respond.

“We know many of the companies receiving this are not directly involved in medical product production, but that you may know important companies within your own networks who should fill this out. Please pass this along as our larger manufacturing community comes together in this unusual time,” he continued.

IFAI is working with the National Council of Textile Organizations (NCTO) and the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry (INDA) to administer this survey and will use the results to help create solutions to increase the supply of medical textile products such as face masks, hospital gowns, temporary shelters and more. Please note that all of the data is being shared across the three organizations and the final report will be made public.
