Mountainsmith Announces Anvil Award for Agency of the Year

The official tally is just in and it is a tie. Coming off an impressive year of sales in their respective territories, Mountainsmith’s BRM Reps from the Upper Midwest led by Bruce and Michelle Marsh and the Frontier Group from the Pacific NW headed up by John Morioka and Scott Ohsman both capture the company’s 2012 Anvil Award for Agency of the Year, or in this case, Agencies of the Year.

In a shaky economic environment, both groups led a surge in sales and market share in their individual territories to secure the honor. The announcement was made by Jay Getzel, director of sales and marketing for the Colorado-based supplier of outdoor packs and bags. “2012 marked another strong year for the Mountainsmith brand in terms of sales, profit and margin and our efforts were buoyed by the exceptional efforts of the BRM Reps and Frontier Group,” commented Getzel. “We thank them for their continued dedication to top notch customer service, innovative selling programs and support of our iconic brand.”

“The Frontier Group is proud to win this great award,” commented Ohsman. “The Anvil is a great part of this brand’s heritage and future. We could not have reached our goals without the incredible effort and hard work from everyone on the Mountainsmith team and the strength of this partnership is a big reason we have been able to succeed.”

“I’m speechless but honored to receive the award, knowing that the success is due to a solid, value driven product line and exceptional management support,” added Bruce Marsh.
