Jack Wolfskin Releases Terraventure Texapore Hiking Boots

Jack Wolfskin, a provider of sustainable outdoor gear and apparel, will introduce a sustainable design to market with the Terraventure Texapore. This hiking boot is available in mid-ankle and low-ankle height, and it will eliminate PFCs from manufacturing while using nearly 100 percent recycled materials that deliver sustainable design without sacrificing performance and comfort.

The technical hiking boots will be manufactured with recycled and sustainably sourced uppers, membranes, liners, midsoles and outsole materials.

The release is an initial step for Jack Wolfskin, a brand that aspires to eliminate PFCs from its entire footwear range by 2025. The Terraventure Texapore boot delivers water-repellent performance without using chemical treatments.

The upper is constructed with the brand’s proprietary Texapore Ecosphere membrane, a recycled, synthetic material made from post- and pre-consumer waste, and a comfortable recycled tricot lining. The cushioning EVA midsole comprises 30 percent sugar cane and 3 percent cork, while the Vibram outsole is derived from recycled rubber. Even the lace eyelets are fabricated from 76 percent recycled zinc.

Wearers will notice the comfortable EVA midsole delivers dynamic gait support and ergonomic design, ideal for long-distance outings and multi-day tours. Furthermore, the boot’s Vibram sole is excellent for versatile hiking conditions and features a tread pattern that provides a self-cleaning effect for better traction even in muddy conditions.

The Terraventure Texapore, offered in two color options and a mid and low-cut version, will be available in men’s and women’s sizes and can be found at select retailers and us.jackwolfskin.com.
