Big Agnes Celebrates 20 Years in the Dirt with Major Giveaways

Big Agnes, the Steamboat-Springs-based outdoor equipment brand, will commemorate its 20th anniversary in May. In celebration, Big Agnes will be giving away anniversary-themed logo gear and hosting contests at 60 retailers nationwide, with one select customer at each retail store winning a Torchlight Camp 20 Sleeping Bag and an Insulated Q-Core SLX Sleeping Pad.

“We started Big Agnes 20 years ago with a back-of-the-napkin dream – to build better gear for sleeping in the backcountry,” said Bill Gamber, co-founder and president of Big Agnes. “We’ve come a long way since then – growing into a global outdoor brand with a great team of employees – but our mission remains the same: outfit people with the gear needed to camp comfortably, explore the backcountry and have fun. Cheers to the next 20!”

Since the initial conception of the Big Agnes Sleep System, Big Agnes has challenged the outdoor industry to design products that are more innovative, more effective and more sustainable. Recognized as a leader in product innovation and materials sourcing, Big Agnes drives the industry forward – this year introducing solution-dyed fabrics to tents and a sleeping pad made with a sugarcane-based foam, extremely sustainable material solutions.

The brand is committed to producing high-quality products that it stands behind with a strong warranty and repair program.

Big Agnes will be presenting multiple giveaways and contests throughout 2021 through its social channels and at bigagnes.com. In each month aside from May, the brand will be giving away tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads and camp furniture from its line to select winners that enter the brand’s #20yearsinthedirt social media giveaway.

May’s in-store retail contest will run from May 8-31, at participating retailers, and winners will be selected randomly in early June.

“After such a wild and difficult past year, we’re thrilled to be able to celebrate and to drive traffic back to our retail partners around the nation,” continued Gamber. “We thank our loyal customers for supporting us through the years, and we look forward to seeing you on the trail.”
