Adventurers Wanted for Kahtoola’s 14th Annual Uphill Virtual Event

Gain some elevation in the New Year and help a great cause by joining Kahtoola, creator of award-winning MICROspikes, EXOspikes and NANOspikes brand traction, at its 14th annual GORE-TEX Kahtoola Uphill event.

This year’s race is virtual and registration is open for adventurers who want to run, walk, ski, hike, etc. and join the fun from wherever they call home, benefiting Friends of Camp Colton’s youth environmental education programs.

Event registration ($25) is easy and participants are encouraged to sign up by February 19. Entrants then choose to complete one of these two challenges between February 20-28:

1) Sign up for the Bob Gore Discovery Climb as an individual or team of four. The goal is to get outside and record as much elevation gain as possible over nine days (racers can download the Strava app to keep track of time/elevation).

2) Racers can test their grit with the Lumberyard Brewing Company Ultimate Challenge. Climb and descend 2,100 vertical feet as fast as possible, in celebration of Kahtoola’s 21 years of dedication to outdoor adventures.

Participants can rally friends and family to support their efforts with donations through event completion on Feb. 28.

Prizes are awarded for each race category, including the fastest and best-dressed awards, plus fantastic fundraising incentives. All proceeds from race donations and the coveted Golden Ticket raffle ($100 tickets, of which only 100 are available now) benefit Friends of Camp Colton and support life-changing experiences in nature for kids.
