adidas Terrex Unveils Fastest Known Time, Fastest Own Time Footwear, Apparel Collection

adidas Terrex unveils the Fastest Known Time and Fastest Own Time footwear and apparel collections created for people focused on breaking records with speed and those with personal expression on the trails.

After two years of development and rigorous testing during the Ultra Trail World Series by elite ultrarunner Tom Evans, the athlete-designed Terrex Speed Ultra was created to fill in the gap for an all-out performance racing shoe dedicated for the trail. Becoming the most versatile of the Terrex Speed collection, the new design balances a lightweight form and performance technology including adidas’ unrivaled Boost energy return.

Co-designed by Evans, Terrex Speed Ultra arrives with multiple innovations that include a powerful Boost light strike midsole with a see-through upper that wicks away moisture for ultimate breathability. Its reinforced heel with anti-slip lining delivers enhanced protection and continuous support while the tongue construction with six lace points ensures a glove-like fit and mid-foot lockdown. Rounding out the performance features is a bolstered continental grip outsole that is inspired by gravel road bike tires for optimum stability and control.

Featuring a separate signature colorway, the capsules also include the weather-ready Terrex Agravic Pro TR Rain Jacket designed for performance and protection while outdoors. Constructed with ultra-fine 10 denier Teijin Pasmo yarn, the waterproof jacket features a three-layer RAIN.RDY knitted laminate fabric that incorporates a hydrophobic PU membrane for long-term breathability and stretch comfort for adventure-ready activities. Created with ventilation openings on the side of the back for extra air circulation, the jacket finishes with a pleated back for unrestricted motion and to accommodate a running vest or backpack under the outerwear without adding extra volume to the overall fit.

The Terrex Speed Ultra retails for $160 and will be available in early April and the Terrex Agravic Pro TR Rain Jacket retails for $300 and will be available soon via https://www.adidas.com/us/outdoor-trail_running. The footwear collections, which also include rain pants, a T-shirt and shorts, range from $60-$300 and is available via https://www.adidas.com/us/outdoor-trail_running.
