Family-owned and operated outfitter Wildwater announced its Green Friday event, a Black Friday alternative for families looking to get outdoors while giving back to the local community. On November 29 only, a portion of proceeds from all Nantahala and Asheville-based aerial adventures will go to benefit local watershed conservation nonprofit Riverlink, local Hemlock restoration efforts and other area nonprofits. Wildwater offers more than 88 climbing, zipping, walking, jumping, swinging, and rappelling challenges to experience on its Green Friday.
“The holidays are a time for families to spend time together,” says Trey Barnett, regional marketing director for Wildwater. “We are proud to offer them a place to do that, while also getting the chance to give back to our local community.”
