Wild Rye Earns B Corporation Certification

Wild Rye, a leader in outdoor apparel made by and for women and women-identifying individuals, announced its status as a Certified B Corporation, a major accomplishment in the brand’s mission to “protect the places we play” and elevating women. Wild Rye joins more than 6,000 companies that prioritize making business a force for good, by meeting the highest standards of social and environmental performance.

The brand’s quest to become a Certified B Corporation is a continuation of its efforts since; to give back to communities, use sustainable business practices, value employees, and minimize environmental impact. These companies are recognized for prioritizing people and the planet in all facets of their business from ideation to creation, and each member must pass a rigorous 360-degree business view to become part of the vetted community.

Cassie Abel, Wild Rye’s founder said, “This certification is the culmination of years of dedicated hard work by our incredibly talented team, to showcase that aligning on the right side of both corporate responsibility, and history, is at the core of who Wild Rye is. We are thrilled to be a B Corp Certified brand and will aim to uphold these high standards in all that we do.”

Along this journey, Wild Rye has undertaken other endeavors to further its dedication to social and environmental causes, successfully becoming a certified Climate Neutral company two years in a row and an official member of 1% for the Planet. Last year the brand launched Wild Rye (redux), a brand-owned peer-to-peer re-commerce platform to extend the lifetime of products by giving customers an opportunity to resell their used gear, in partnership with Treet.
