The Mountain Unveils Smithsonian Collections

The Mountain Corporation, an apparel manufacturing and art company known for their hand dyed garments, announced a new license with the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. As part of its 2015 catalog collection, The Mountain is introducing 30 brand new tee shirt designs, all featuring stunning graphics inspired by Smithsonian’s iconic collections, and all produced in the U.S.A. Each unique tee will have an embossed hang tag and sticker with fun, educational content to enlighten consumers about the image printed on the tee.

The initial Smithsonian apparel collections feature images from Smithsonian’s National Zoological Park, and include portraits of several endangered and amazing animals from around the world. Clouded leopards, Sumatran tigers, cheetahs, giant pandas, Grevy’s zebras and many other amazing animals are featured in The Smithsonian Apparel Collection, all brought to life by the expert artisans at The Mountain.

Also featured are images from the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum. This breathtaking imagery commemorates some of man’s finest achievements in both flight and space history. The first untethered spacewalk by astronaut Bruce McCandless, the famous footprint signifying man’s first step on the moon, the launch of Space Shuttle Discovery on its final flight to the International Space Station, and many more stunning graphics are sure to inspire audiences the world over.
