Testing, inspection and certification company SGS is opening a new Bicycle, eMobility and Transit PackagingĀ Testing Laboratory in Bentonville, Ark., expanding its global capabilities in bicycle, eābike and micromobility testing. According to the company, the new facility strengthens its ability to support manufacturers, retailers and distributors with comprehensive ISO/IEC 17025 and ISTA accredited testing and certification services, helping products and transit packaging meet global regulatory, safety and performance requirements across key markets.
To mark the opening, SGS will host a launch event on Monday, May 18, 2026, bringing cycling industry leaders and stakeholders, technical experts, and advocacy groups and regional partnersĀ including PeopleForBikes and Wish for Wheels. The event underscores the collaborative approach required to support safe, compliant and innovative bicycle and eāmobility products globally, said SGS executives.
Highlights of the event include a ribbon cutting ceremony, bicycle and eābike testing demonstrations, testing laboratory tours, and a Wish for Wheels bicycle build activity.
