Rab and Lowe Alpine, leaders in merging the development of outdoor gear and apparel with sustainability and environmental awareness, announced that Peter McConkie will be its National Sales Manager, adding an industry veteran with more than 20 years in the business to the company’s growing sales team.
McConkie joins Rab and Lowe Alpine after spending the past four years as the National Sales Manager for Vasque Footwear, which specializes in performance hiking boots and hiking shoes for men, women and children. McConkie also spent 20 years in sales management for Liberty Mountain, one of the largest wholesale distributors of technical outdoor products and climbing gear in the United States.
“I’ve known the people at Rab and Lowe Alpine and worked with them in different capacities for more than a decade, and everyone in the industry knows about their commitment to quality,” McConkie said. “This opportunity was incredibly enticing and a very easy choice, because they’ve been doing things right for so long when it comes to their products and their relationships with specialty retailers. I’m excited to join their sales team and support our partners.”
In his new role at Rab and Lowe Alpine, McConkie will work with the company’s national sales network to increase brand awareness and establish new relationships with specialty retailers that align with the company’s longstanding commitment to designing quality outdoor gear and equipping all adventures for the ascent.
