Paddling Magazine: Paddlesports Trade Coalition to Host Industry Colab in September

The Paddlesports Trade Coalition (PTC) is preparing to open the doors for its first-ever industry event, September 3-6 in Oklahoma City. According to Paddling Magazine, the PTC Colab will see “decision-makers from across the paddlesports industry” convene at Riversport OKC as part of a four-day agenda.

The event will include a members-only organizational meeting, concentrated focus groups, social activities, workshops, guest speaking engagements and product demonstrations, all targeted toward an industry audience.

“I’d love to have people leave this annual general meeting seeing that we need a strong voice. That we need a member base to activate and engage,” said Stig Larsson, Level Six CEO and the chairman of PTC’s board. “The goal is for this to be a member-driven organization, not 11 board members deciding what’s best for the organization. We want 1,000 members guiding the voice of the Trade Coalition.”

Paddling Magazine noted that it is still undetermined whether the Colab will be open to both members.

“Our goal this year is to give everyone a good, solid event with lots of education and opportunity,” said PTC executive director, Jeff Turner. “We want to get the industry together and make sure everyone leaves saying, ‘We want to do that again’.”

The PTC is also collaborating with Oklahoma City’s tourism board to support logistics.
