Outdoor Retailer unveiled the finalists for the fifth annual Outdoor Retailer Innovation Awards. An independent panel of expert judges evaluated 132 entries to determine the 30 finalists, which include innovative outdoor and winter sport products, fabrics and materials as well as digital and retail services. All finalists will be on display in the Innovation Gallery during Outdoor Retailer Snow Show, Jan. 10-12, in the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City. Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony, at 6 p.m., Jan. 11, at the new Hyatt Regency Salt Lake.
The judging panel rated all entries based on four criteria to determine the finalists:
- Spark – concept, design, appeal
- Desire – opportunity, differentiation
- Function – innovation, functionality, insight
- Impact – cultural, environmental, business
The panel will reset the scoring to evaluate the finalists and determine this year’s winners. The finalists and their entries include:
