Reel Paddling Film Festival World Tour 2013 is coming to New York and New England thanks to tour sponsor Northern Forest Canoe Trail (NFCT). The Vermont-based non-profit is sponsoring the tour in nine locations this year.
The festival showcases the best paddling films from around the world. Proceeds from these nine screenings support the Northern Forest Canoe Trail and our partners.
The Reel Paddling Film Festival features award winning films in 10 categories including sea kayaking, canoeing, adventure travel and documentary. The festival, in its seventh year, inspires people to explore rivers, lakes and oceans, push physical and emotional extremes, embrace the lifestyle and appreciate the heritage of wild places around the world. The festival can be seen in more than 100 cities worldwide.
This year, Lincoln Canoe & Kayak, maker of handcrafted canoe and kayaks in Freeport, Maine and a storied boat builder in New England, is partnering with NFCT to raffle a light-weight and versatile 2013 Chebeague kayak to be prized at the conclusion of this series of nine screenings.
The World Tour kicks off in March and continues in our region through June. Locations and dates include:

- April 5 Wiscasset, Maine
- April 11 Lake Placid, N.Y.
- April 18 Concord, N.H.
- May 11 Waitsfield, Vt.
- May 24 Collinsville, Ct.
- June 8 The Forks, Maine
