Montane Bolsters Sales Effort in US with Three Agencies

To expand availability into more core-user regions across the United States, fast and light equipment manufacturer Montane has appointed three independent sales agencies in the Pacific Northwest, Rocky Mountains and Midwest.

Joining Montane to begin selling the new Fall 2023 collection are Sigrid and Alan Quinn in Oregon, John Wilmers and Great Lake Sales in Michigan, and Jeremy Hensel and the Hensel Group based in Colorado. The three agencies will be guided by the leadership of Mike Downing, Montane’s U.S. Country Manager, to create a team with more than 100 combined years of sales and service in the outdoor industry.

Managing Montane’s wholesale business in the Pacific Northwest will the Quinns of Quinn Sales Company in Portland, Oregon. At one time owners of Sturtevant’s Sports, one of the industry’s top performing specialty retailers in the Northwest, Borderline Snowboards, and Ski Mart, the Quinns bring decades of retail success experience to Montane. Quinn Sales also represents Aventura Women’s Outdoor Lifestyle Apparel, Krimson Klover Sportswear, and Nils Women’s Skiwear.

Centered in the Midwest is industry veteran, Wilmers with Great Lake Sales in Michigan. Wilmers has decades of experience selling apparel and equipment from some of the industry’s top technical brands. Along with Montane, Wilmers also represents HydroFlask and Western Mountaineering in the Midwest.

Based in Eagle, Colo., is Hensel with the Hensel Group, who has been managing sales for Prana in the Rocky Mountains for the past 16 years, as well as Camp USA. The Hensel Group has won several awards during its tenure, including Rep Group of the Year multiple times and the “Seva” award for going above and beyond in the name of service. Hensel along with Lisa Hensel and Kaley Thompson bring authenticity and a wealth of sales knowledge and creativity to the Montane sales team.
