Kokopelli, the Colorado-based creators of lightweight and packable inflatable kayaks celebrates 10-years of adventure with the launch of limited-edition Smoke Blue boats in the Rogue Lite and Nirvana Self-Bailing, and smoke blue Poudre Adventure paddle.
The 10-year mark is celebratory for many reasons for Kokopelli, which includes years of innovative products, epic trips and an outlet for learning new skills and understanding equipment.
Founded in 2012 inside a garage in Denver, Kokopelli has become an award-winning designer and developer of pack rafts for hiking, biking, fishing and skiing, with international retail distribution.
The company recently was honored with the 2022 “Colorado Companies to Watch” award at the 14th annual Gala Awards Ceremony for high-performing second-stage companies statewide.
“The new colorway is inspired by the way mountains appear in a layered blue hue with that smoky-looking effect,” said Kyle Rajaniemi, director of marketing. “When you see it, you’ll know the look. Here on the front range, especially in the summer as the storms roll through the high country, there is that beautiful moment where we all stop and look. That feeling inspired this color.”
Kokopelli has made a multitude of big splashes in the industry. Most recently with the announcement of the 2023 launch of the Durango Bikepacking line set to include high-end seat post bags, frame packs, feed bags, and more. The innovative company also recently launched their X-Boat series in March of 2022, which upgraded some of their top-selling models, making them more durable, packable, and feature-rich than they already are with the addition of full-Kevlar construction.

The limited-edition Smoke Blue boats go on sale today and will be available until they’re sold out. The models will bring the same high-quality design, packability and durability that all Kokopelli pack rafts have.
