CamelBak Enters Cooler Market with ChillBak Pack 30

CamelBak, a leader in personal hydration products, launched its first cooler backpack for Summer 2022. The trademarked ChillBak Pack 30 brings a fresh approach to the cooler market, combining an integrated six-liter reservoir system for on-the-go hydration, along with a roll-top closure, which aids in cooling efficiency and provides added storage for any summer adventure. The  ChillBak Pack 30 is available at authorized CamelBak dealers and www.camelbak.com

“At CamelBak, we’re thrilled to jump headfirst into a new category that combines our best-in-class hydration systems with an essential piece of gear that everyone heading to the outdoors will appreciate,” said Tony Vontz, director of soft goods and sport at CamelBak. “We believe that integrating useful features such as our Fusion six-liter group reservoir is the way of the future for soft coolers. It not only provides added value to our customers, it just makes life easier with fewer things to bring along.”

The ChillBak Pack 30 is a soft cooler backpack that allows you to simplify packing by combining two pieces of essential gear into one package. What sets the ChillBak Pack 30 apart is the integrated Fusion six-liter group hydration reservoir, roll-top closure with separated dry and cold storage compartments, and a full-featured carrying system which includes a sternum strap and waist belt for added stability. The 20-liter cooler compartment holds 24, 12-ounce cans and 15 pounds of ice, and keeps contents cold for up to 72 hours.

To make the ChillBak Pack 30 an adventure companion for the long haul, CamelBak used Bluesign Approved TPU coated 400D nylon ripstop as well as a molded EVA base for durability in rugged environments. A zippered back panel provides easy access to the Fusion group reservoir, while an externally located tap-style pour spout makes for easy filling of bottles and cups.

Two expandable mesh side pockets — one zippered, one top loaded — make room for small essentials and easy access. For situations where the Fusion group reservoir is not needed, users can remove the reservoir to gain six liters of additional dry storage in addition to the four liters already available in the roll-top portion of the bag.
