Kelty has introduced its The Discovery Line of “easy-to-use camping furniture, tents and sleeping bags” that are “designed for the spontaneous outdoor consumer looking for style and value.” Arriving at retail this month, each product is available in a variety of print patterns, exclusively at REI.
The Discovery Line features “grab-and-go” camping gear that the company says have subtle technical features with nostalgic prints and are engineered for spontaneous activities including picnics, festivals and recreational camping. Specifically, the line includes a camp lounge chair, a 4- and 6-person freestanding dome tent, a 15- and 30-degree rectangle sleeping bag and a pop-up shade. Price points range from $65 for the 15-degree bag to $200 for the 6-person tent.
“Today’s outdoor consumer is more spontaneous, preferring the unplanned adventure; The Discovery Line is ideal as it accommodates this spur of the moment lifestyle,” said Eric Greene, vice president of Kelty. “In addition, it reflects the changing definition of the outdoors and provides excellent value enabling consumers of all activity levels, interests and backgrounds to explore.”
