Mobile Bike Shop Partners with Bay Area Brick-and-Mortar Dealer

Beeline Bikes, the mobile bike shop that comes to you, has partnered with Summit Bicycles, the largest local bike shop in San Francisco/Silicon Valley. Summit will serve the needs of cyclists and riders of all types with five existing brick-and-mortar stores, and a fleet of seven mobile bike shops servicing customers from San Francisco to Santa Cruz, Calif. The Beeline/Summit partnership provides customers a complete omni-channel experience, serving their needs online, in the shop, and at their home or office, said the companies.

“With decades supporting cyclists in the Bay Area, I’m proud of Summit’s track record providing a great customer experience across all our locations. With the addition of Beeline, we are uniquely positioned to extend our reach and customer-friendly approach to the neighborhoods, corporate campuses, and local events in our communities,” said Ian Christie, owner of Summit Bicycles. “The bicycle industry is changing – Summit will stay on the leading edge when it comes to customer service and getting more people out riding bikes.”

Beeline’s customer acquisition network and national e-commerce partnerships drive new profitable customers to the Beeline eco-system. As online bicycle sales continue to grow, Beeline extends the convenience of the online purchase right to the customer’s doorstep with one-of-a-kind, on-site assembly and personalized bike setup by friendly professional bicycle experts.

“With the maturity of the Beeline mobile service model and e-comm partnerships, we’ve had tremendous interest from existing brick-and-mortar retailers seeking to complement their traditional business by reaching new ‘non-bike shop’ customers,” said Pete Buhl, co-founder and CEO of Beeline Bikes. “We are excited to partner with local bike shops who are looking to the future – Ian and Summit Bicycles epitomize the forward thinking mind-set that we need to grow the bicycle industry and promote a healthy lifestyle through cycling in communities around the country.”

Beeline’s e-commerce partners include: Raleigh, Diamondback Bicycles, and Competitive Cyclist, to offer a wide spectrum of bicycles to everyone from novice riders to families and core enthusiasts.

“Beeline has been tremendously cooperative in developing a program that works well for Independent Bicycle Dealers, ensuring success and profitability if done right,” said Christie. “We are excited and lucky to have this opportunity.”
