Isbjörn Penguin Snowsuit Wins Bäst-i-Test Award for Sustainability

Sustainable children’s outdoor clothing and accessories manufacturer Isbjörn of Sweden is once again celebrating, after being awarded the coveted Bäst-i-Test (Best in Test) for its best-selling Penguin Snowsuit, in the Premium category, for a seventh time.

The popular field test, conducted by the Scandinavian Online Test Institute Bäst-i-Test, saw various winter jumpsuits tested over a three-month period, at a forest school day-care centre, during the long and hard winter season in Sweden. The products were rigorously used in all weathers and outdoor activities, on a daily basis with repeated washing and tumble drying.

Penguin Snowsuit scored 10 out of 10 points for longevity, outstanding functions, quality and comfort – thus proving it is the perfect choice for keeping children dry and thermally balanced in wet and cold winter conditions.

Staff and parents who participated in the three-month long testing process, along with the children, collectively commented: “This tough yet sustainable snowsuit continues to impress, standing up to all kinds of winter weather, keeping every single drop of rain and snow out. Yes, the Penguin Snowsuit is a more expensive long-term purchase, but overall the excellent durability of the snowsuit will actually save money as it will last many years and many owners. Made from high quality yet sustainable materials it can be handed down to hand to siblings and friends. There is absolutely no compromise on wet weather or thermal performance even though Penguin delivers excellent breathability as well as waterproofness, offering children optimal comfort during all outdoor adventures. It can last many seasons of fun in the snow and keep our little ones dry in wet weather.”

Maria Frykman Forsberg, co-founder and CEO of Isbjörn of Sweden, commented: “Once again our durable Penguin Snowsuit, renowned for its longevity for many years, has been awarded this prestigious Bäst-i-Test award for a record seventh time. It’s all about the durability, while always using the most sustainable bluesign® approved materials such as PrimaLoft Insulation Eco and Bionic Finish Eco, that makes our famous snowsuit stand out and continue to be independently recognised by the Bäst-i-Test team.”
