Next month, Dick’s Sporting Goods will open a new location in Forest Hills, a neighborhood in the borough of Queens in New York City. The store, at 73-25 Woodhaven Blvd., on the border of Forest Hills, Rego Park and Glendale, will replace Sports Authority which closed last summer following its bankruptcy.
This is the second Dick’s locations within the five boroughs, with the first opening on Staten Island in 2011. The company said it plans to fill 100 full-time, part-time and temporary associate positions.
To celebrate the opening of their first store in Queens, Dick’s will host a three-day Grand Opening Celebration with giveaways and special in-store appearances. More information about the grand opening festivities will be available in the weeks leading up to the opening.
