Carson Optical has significantly expanded its headquarters in a move to Ronkonkoma, Long Island. In addition to the move, Carson also has launched their brand new web site.
The headquarters move was predicated by two main factors: a need for additional warehouse space and room for the expanding engineering department, said the company.
The 51,000 square foot, former DHL sorting facility, provides considerably higher ceilings and “no shortage of bay doors,” notes Rich Cameron, President of Carson.
Carson’s focus on product design has led to the expansion of research and development efforts. Additional prototyping machinery is being purchased to help to continue to build world-class optics. With more than 90 patents already issued, the additional space will help even further with the development of state-of-the-art products.
Carson will be adding staff in the administrative, sales, and engineering departments to support the growth.
