Many communities have the interest and political support to develop mountain bike facilities and trail systems, but lack funding and/or knowledge to jump-start efforts. The International Mountain Bike Associations (IMBA) Trail Accelerator Grants are designed to give communities that initial boost through professional trail planning and consultation services.
In 2018, matching grant money from the Walton Family Foundation will be used for projects in select states, up to $250,000. IMBA will approve three projects by mid-August and will begin accepting applications on a quarterly basis.
