RunSignup Introduces Custom Source Tracking Update for RaceInsights Analytics Service

For race directors operating on tight budgets, avoiding marketing waste is imperative for success. It’s vital to ensure every advertising dollar is working to attract participants and drive donations.

Up until recently, this was very difficult if not impossible in some cases due to a basic lack of visibility. But it’s getting easier thanks to companies such as race technology provider RunSignup.

Today, RunSignup announced a major update to its RaceInsights analytics tool. RaceInsights has introduced Custom Source Tracking, an enhancement that allows directors to track individual donations, registrations and transaction dollars down to a unique source like a specific email, sponsor website, or expo booth.

As the company explained, this builds off the power of RaceInsights which originally helped directors see the general source of every click, registration, and transaction on their website. With RaceInsights, actions on a website could be attributed to the source that referred them, such as Google or Facebook. Custom Source Tracking takes this a step further, allowing for more granular insight into where referrals are actually coming from. For instance, now it’s possible to tie referrals to places like specific Facebook advertisements.

“RaceInsights is built specifically to make marketing and promotion easier for race directors,” said Bob Bickel, RunSignUp Founder and CEO. “Races can quickly see which efforts are producing results, allowing them to refine their marketing and promotion efforts to target the programs producing the best results.”
