Otter Products to Open Retail Store

To that end, Otter Products, the company behind OtterBox, announced plans to open Otter Shop, a retail experience in its hometown of Fort Collins, Colo. This first and only standalone retail location allows the company to showcase its ever-broadening line of products, beyond the iconic phone cases, as well as give insights to the culture and passion behind the brand, said the company.

“Otter Shop is more than a store – it’s a retail experience that lets visitors connect with our brands, learn about our company culture and see exclusive products not available in any other store,” said Otter Products CEO Jim Parke. “We hope it will be a destination for locals and visitors alike.”

In addition to OtterBox cases, mobile accessories, coolers and tumblers, the store will feature products from sister brand LifeProof, including the recently released AQUAPHONICS line of ruggedized Bluetooth speakers. A section of Otter Shop will be dedicated to highlighting the work of the OtterCares Foundation, a private foundation that encourages kids to be entrepreneurial and philanthropic.

Otter Shop will be home to several exclusive product lines, including branded cases with local icons such as Odell Brewing Co. and Colorado State University. Visitors will also be able to print custom cases with their own images or select from dozens of unique patterns. In addition to the robust product line up, Otter Shop will feature a 1947 Jeep Willys set in a seasonally updated backdrop for the perfect Fort Collins photo opp. The space will play host to a variety of community events.

Otter Shop will open Friday, Aug. 11, at 151 W. Mountain Ave. in downtown Fort Collins. The grand opening celebration will last through the weekend with music and giveaways, including a custom Otter cruiser bike. Store hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
