Winter Adventure Safety Festival Returns For 2021

Mammut, an outdoors and mountain safety brand from Switzerland, will partner with The Lady Alliance for its fourth celebration event for safety in the outdoors.

The latest Adventure Safety Festival takes place December 2-9 and will consist prerecorded online experiences that focus on winter safety.

For the event, women and allies in the United States and Canada can tune in to learn from mountain guides, professional skiers and other leaders in the industry as they discuss necessary skills, avalanche safety and risk assessment in the backcountry.

“Mammut is deeply committed to empowering all athletes to enjoy the outdoors and to reducing barriers to participation in these outdoor spaces. Through our continued partnership with The Lady Alliance, we strive to create an accessible space where we can all learn and grow together,” said Nora Fierman, marketing and CSR account manager at Mammut. “This year’s event will really focus on risk assessment in the backcountry, which will drive meaningful conversations around the human factor and what it means to be a woman in the outdoors. We’re thrilled to see the event come to life.”

The Lady Alliance is a women’s empowerment community dedicated to building confidence and community through adventure. The Lady Alliance offers online festivals and outdoor events that connect adventurers of every caliber through education and outdoor activity.

Mammut, as an outdoor and safety-based brand with centuries of expertise in climb, hike, ski, camp and travel, is positioned to partner with The Lady Alliance to bring more accessibility and inclusivity to the mountains.

This event is the fourth installment of the Winter Adventure Safety Tour hosted by Mammut and The Lady Alliance. Last winter, the festival focused on beacon training, snow science and preparation and packing, while this year’s homes in on risk assessment and the human factor.

Viewers can watch this year’s and last year’s festivals from December 2-9 on The Lady Alliance TV. This event’s special guest host is Indigenous Women Outdoor Canada, and the event is free for everyone to experience.

“The Lady Alliance focuses on education to help build confidence and community through adventure. We partner with brands that align with our values. Thanks to Mammut, this event is a win-win,” said The Lady Alliance Founder, Kieren Britton. “The event itself is free, making it accessible for everyone to enjoy, our community receives education from some of the best in the industry, and we are helping amplify incredible leaders such as Indigenous Women Outdoors Canada! Everyone can grow together!”
