Vvolt, a company focused on e-transportation, unveiled the Slice Lite, an adjustable electric utility bike that offers sleek design and easy handling, with or without a load.
The Slice’s long, low-slung frame rides on durable 3″ tires, with a smaller 20″ front wheel designed to keep the overall center of gravity low, even when the Cargo Module is loaded up. Slice is pedal-assist, with the addition of a thumb throttle, and features torque and cadence sensors for a natural response to pedaling that delivers smooth and easy assistance from the motor. The single-gear Gates Carbon Drive belt and sprocket system is the lowest maintenance e-bike drivetrain available, with silent operation, no need for lubrication and 2-3x longer lifespan than traditional chain drives.
The unit weighs 52 pounds, making it approximately 25 percent lighter than the average electric utility-style bike. Additionally, Vvolt’s compact motor and battery system delivers up to 55 miles of range, with integrated, 360-degree lighting. It also supports a bolt-on cargo module, sold separately, that can carry up to 40 pounds.
