Vista Outdoor Launches Conservation Campaign

Vista Outdoor has published an updated corporate social responsibility (CSR) website to share the company’s efforts in the areas of conservation, safety, community service and diversity. The site can be found at www.vistaoutdoor.com/social-responsibility.

As part of the updated CSR, Vista Outdoor also launched a new conservation campaign, named Conservation Counts, to align the company’s efforts in conservation.

“This new website allows us to showcase our efforts across our 50 brands in a more effective and visible way,” said CEO Mark DeYoung.

Through the sale of the company’s firearms, archery and ammunition products, Vista Outdoor contributed nearly $84 million in its fiscal year 2016 through the Pittman-Robertson Act to help fund wildlife conservation in the United States.

“As a leading outdoor sports and recreation company, Vista Outdoor is a strong supporter of conservation,” said DeYoung.

“We created the Conservation Counts campaign as a way to align our company’s many conservation-related efforts and share our overarching approach to supporting conservation of wildlife and wild places,” said DeYoung. Our company has a very diverse consumer base, who are interested in many different outdoor activities, and we believe that all conservation efforts count, no matter how big or small. We are committed to conserving our natural wonders, resources and public lands for all outdoor enthusiasts to pursue their adventures.”

In addition to conservation, the company’s CSR showcases its commitment to safety, community service and diversity and inclusion, says the company.
