VIM & VIGR Launches Spoon Theory Compression Socks

VIM & VIGR, maker of stylish and comfortable compression socks, has partnered with influencer Madison Shreve on limited edition Spoon Theory compression socks to offer support and encouragement to patients of chronic diseases. This month, VIM & VIGR is working to spotlight Chronic Illness Awareness along with the Spoon Theory, which has become a way for people with chronic illnesses to describe their shifting energy levels.

“I’m so happy to partner with VIM & VIGR to raise awareness for my fellow Spoonies,” said Madison Shreve, who suffers from POTS, a form of dysautonomia. “The Spoon Theory shows the difference in energy levels between chronically ill and ‘healthy’ individuals. This theory has helped me so much when explaining my low energy levels to friends and family.”

Shreve uses her TikTok to build a community among Spoonies and educates the public about her condition. According to the Spoon Theory, people with a chronic illness or disability require more energy, or spoons, to accomplish everyday tasks while taking more breaks throughout the day than an average person. The phrase “sending spoons” offers encouragement and signifies sending energy.

“VIM & VIGR is proud to leverage our platform to help raise awareness for chronic illnesses this July with our Spoon Theory socks co-designed with Madison,” said Michelle Huie, founder of VIM & VIGR. “Many individuals in our community use compression socks as a stylish way to boost wellness and to help lessen some symptoms associated with chronic diseases like dysautonomia, lymphedema, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and so many others and we are so happy to represent them with this new design. Madison is a passionate advocate and an inspiration for those tackling a chronic illness as part of their daily lives.”

VIM & VIGR’s Spoon Theory graduated compression socks are designed for all day wear and available in two compression levels, 15-20 mmHg and 20-30 mmHg. Created for people living with chronic illnesses, the Spoon Theory socks are made with a premium Nylon blend (91 percent Nylon, 9 percent Latex-free Spandex) and a seamless toe box for extra comfort. The socks feature graduated compression from ankle to calf with a contoured leg and heel for superior fit. Unisex sizing with wide calf options available. MSRP $38.
