VIM & VIGR, creator of stylish and comfortable compression socks for all walks of life, launches its newest compression sock design in honor of National Nurses Week May 6-May 12.
The Rainbow sock is inspired by the spirit and strength nurses exhibit every day, especially during the ongoing pandemic. The navy-blue socks feature rainbows as a symbol of hope along with the words heart and hope woven on the sole in tribute to healthcare workers.
“Nurses and health care workers are unequivocal heroes internationally,” said Michelle Huie, founder of VIM & VIGR. “For the past year, the whole world has watched as brave women and men continued showing up to work and caring for their patients while risking their own lives amidst a global pandemic. We are grateful and inspired by their determination, dedication and love of community.”
The Rainbow socks are available in two graduated compression levels, 15-20 mmHg and 20-30 mmHg, perfect for all day, every day wear and beneficial for those on their feet for long hours like essential workers. Made with a premium cotton blend material (48 percent cotton, 42 percent nylon, 10 percent latex-free spandex) with a 200-needle count for flexibility. A contoured leg and heel allow for superior fit and a flexible toe pocket for extra comfort. MSRP $36.
You can help support health care workers by participating in VIM & VIGR’s annual Buy a Sock, Give a Sock promotion running through May 5 leading up to Nurses Week. For every sock purchased, VIM & VIGR donates a sock to healthcare workers.
If you know a hospital unit or health care workers who could use compression socks, nominate them here. In 2020, the promotion resulted in more than $140,000 in sock donations and care packages to frontline healthcare workers at more than 80 U.S. hospitals and clinics.
