velofix Launches First 10 Corporate Mobile Bike Shops

Closing out the year with a mission to get more people on bikes in 2020, velofix, has released its first wave of corporate-owned mobile bike shops, now servicing Austin and Houston, Texas; Tampa, Fla.; San Jose, Calif.; Raleigh, N.C.; and Vancouver, British Columbia.

This expansion is part of velofix’s growth strategy comprised of a growing family of franchise partners and corporate-owned mobile bike shops. Currently, the company operates in 115 territories and moving into 2020 it will announce another fleet of corporate-owned mobile bike shops, increasing its presence in existing territories and expanding into new markets.

“2019 has been a very successful year for us as we have grown our head office support teams in Vancouver and Austin, launched more franchise partners and rolled out multiple corporate Mobile Bike Shops,” said Chris Guillemet, CEO and co-Founder of velofix. “The opportunity to put more Mobile Bike Shops on the road in 2020 is reflective of the appetite we believe riders have for our services.”

velofix is looking to hire 40 rider support technicians for its corporate mobile bike shops in 2020. The role is much more comprehensive than a bike mechanic, said the company, as velofix technicians serve as the face of the brand, someone who is constantly encouraging people in their communities to get out and ride their bikes more. Responsibilities include managing velofix’s state-of-the-art Mobile Bike Shop, visiting riders at their home or work, servicing bikes, doing bike fits, making deliveries, and attending and supporting events.

The package for rider support technicians includes top 10 percent hourly pay, flexible hours, monthly fitness allowances, product discounts, insurance options and more.
