Trew Raises $1.6 Million in Funding

Backcountry ski apparel brand Trew announced a funding round of $1.6 million in capital to expand its product line, staff and direct-to-consumer operations. According to reports, BroadPeak Capital, formerly known as Skyline Capital, made the investment, according.

Trew said the company will use the capital to relocate its operations from Hood River, Ore., to a larger space in southeast Portland.

Trew was founded by Tripp Frey in 2008 to create waterproof breathable outerwear for the cold and wet conditions found in the Pacific Northwest.
