TransAmTri Announces Date for First North Edition Race

RaceTwitch Events, announced the date for their second official TransAmTri, the longest triathlon in the world, will be Monday, May 2, 2022, in the Northern United States.

Spanning from World Famous Lucky’s Lake in Orlando, Florida, to Point State Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the unique triathlon will range between a total of 1,865 to 2,170 miles. The final distance will be determined when the course is finalized.

The triathlon consists of self-supported and supported sections. Approximate distances for each event include:

  • 15 to 20 miles of swimming
  • 1,700 to 2,000 mile biking course with 80,000 feet of climbing along the Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachians, C&O Canal trail and back roads
  • 150-mile level, crushed gravel, no traffic run from Cumberland, Maryland, to the finish

A limited number of participants will be included. Racers will experience extreme conditions all the while testing their endurance and human will. Designed for pure adventure enthusiasts, the TransAmTri course has the potential of dead-end roads, gravel, hike-a-bike and more, so the athletes that participate must be able to adapt.

More information and a link to registration will be released in the Spring. To stay updated on the latest information, follow the triathlon’s Facebook page or visit its website.
