The Running Event (TRE), a North American run-specialty retail conference and trade show, welcomed back several mission-driven partner organizations that are helping shape a more inclusive, inspired and responsible future for the running industry and community.
The returning partners each offer a distinct focus, ranging from youth engagement to environmental stewardship. Each will bring their energy, insight and initiatives to San Antonio this December.
“At TRE, we strive to collaborate with organizations creating meaningful change across our industry and beyond,” said TRE event director, Christina Henderson. “Our returning partners reflect the power of community and shared values—whether it’s protecting trails, inspiring the next generation or creating more inclusive spaces for runners, walkers and more.”
As TRE enters a new chapter in San Antonio, the 2025 theme, Better Together: Uniting the Running Industry, underscores the value of collaboration and community-driven progress. The dedication of returning partners—many of whom are joining for their second, third or even fifth year and beyond—exemplifies the shared commitment to moving the industry forward together.
The following organizations are returning as TRE partners:
- Healthy Kids Running Series.
- Leave No Trace (LNT).
- American Trail Running Association (ATRA).
- Running Industry Diversity Coalition (RIDC).
“It’s such a pleasure to work with these returning partners year after year,” said Heidi Johnston, partnership project manager, TRE. “Their passion, creativity and impact elevate the entire TRE experience—and we’re especially excited to bring this energy to San Antonio for the first time.”
The Running Event will take place Dec. 2-4 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. It will bring together the brightest minds, latest trends and most impactful conversations in the running and outdoor industry.
