The NPD Group Expands Tracking Service to Cover Health and Fitness Equipment

The NPD Group has expanded its Retail Tracking Service to provide the a view of the U.S. health and fitness equipment market. Data spans the major categories of cardiovascular machines, home gym weight machines and accessories, free weight equipment, strength training products, yoga and mat Pilates, and other fitness accessories.

The addition of this health and fitness sales tracking service builds on NPD’s existing sports coverage of athletic apparel, footwear, equipment, and accessories across the outdoor, running, cycling, paddle, team sports equipment, and snow sports markets. The data covers retail sales across the major consumer channels including athletic specialty, sporting goods, national chains, mass merchants, and e-commerce.
