Teton Gravity to Open Colorado Flagship Store

Teton Gravity Research (TGR), a leader in action and adventure lifestyle media, announced it will open on June 30 a flagship store in downtown Boulder, Colo., marking the company’s latest move to expand its retail footprint.

The store will be located on the city’s iconic Pearl Street Mall (1420 Pearl Street). TGR Boulder will offer a variety of the company’s lifestyle apparel and optics, as well as an immersive brand experience on one of the busiest pedestrian malls in the country.

The 2,700-square-foot space — TGR’s largest brick-and-mortar store — also will offer a state-of-the-art theater to showcase TGR’s nearly 60 films. The retail store and theater will be available for community events and for hosted private gatherings.

“Colorado is near and dear to TGR as our largest market, with some of our most passionate fans. This state shows up every year, helping us sell out our annual snow and bike film tour stops each time we visit,” said TGR co-founder Steve Jones. “TGR is committed to our place among the other businesses on the Pearl Street Mall and to deepening our Colorado connections. We are thrilled to begin working with the community in Boulder.”

The store is an extension to the brand in its 28th year of business. The addition of the Boulder store brings the number of TGR brick-and-mortar retail locations up to six, and builds on the success of other popular outdoor destinations including Breckenridge, Colo., Bozeman, Mont., Park City, Utah, and Jackson Hole, Wyo.

“There are so many talented young athletes in Boulder, and we’re committed to developing this new store into a community hub where those young groms can some in, connect with friends, and get inspired by the TGR athletes who were just like them,” said TGR co-founder Todd Jones.

The store will open in time for three shows by the legendary Dead and Company at nearby Folsom Field, July 1-3. To celebrate the store’s opening and the final Boulder shows for the jam band heroes, TGR will screen its 2019 film Fire on the Mountain, which features a soundtrack composed of purely Grateful Dead music and is narrated by NBA Hall of Famer and noted Grateful Dead fan Bill Walton.

Fans will find TGR’s fully licensed collection of Grateful Dead apparel, hats and hoodies available in store for the festivities.

The store also will feature an in-house movie theater that will fuel the stoke by broadcasting TGR’s classic films during store hours. The theater will be open to the public as well as made available for private rentals. For information on hosting an event, contact boulderstore@tetongravity.com.

Hours for the store will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., daily.
