Sports Authority Opened Puerto Rico Stores

Sports Authority held grand opening ceremonies at its two newest locations in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Carolina, Puerto Rico, this past Saturday, Apr. 5. The new stores are located in the Plaza Las Américas and Plaza Carolina shopping centers, respectively.

Over the weekend, Sports Authority celebrated the grand openings by awarding the first 250 customers on Saturday, April 5 and the first 125 customers on Sunday, April 6 with Mystery Bucks that ranged up to $500 in value. Hourly $100 gift card drawings also took place from 12 to 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday, plus customers entered for a chance to win a $500 Sports Authority shopping spree.

Sports Authority recently hired more than 175 employees for the Plaza Las Américas and Plaza Carolina stores, for a total of more than 315 jobs in Puerto Rico.
