Smith –a global market leader in snow goggles and helmets and industry innovator across bike helmets, sport, lifestyle and prescription eyewear – announced two new additions to its snow marketing and product teams. These include Grady Skelton (global snow marketing manager) and Kevin Wonnacott (snow category manager).
Skelton is an avid snowboarder with 15+ years working in brand marketing strategy, CPG marketing and creative content development. He spent over six years at Rome Snowboards, where he managed national and international marketing efforts as a campaign strategist and content producer. In recent years, Skelton was senior creative brand manager for 10 Barrel Brewing, where he focused on innovative and disruptive marketing techniques to engage consumer base, build community and improve brand loyalty. With Smith, he will focus on increasing awareness, growth and continual creative evolution while remaining true to the brand DNA.
Wonnacott joins Smith with an extensive background in the snow industry, including roles in sales, marketing and product and merchandising at companies such as Salomon, Berghaus and Montaine. Most recently, he served as senior global product line manager for men’s outerwear with Columbia Sportswear. He brings experience of technical products across the snow sports category and passion for snowsports to his new role at Smith, where he will oversee the helmet product line while working under the product and merchandising team.
Skelton and Wonnacott will both be based out of the Smith headquarters in Portland, Oregon.
