SIA’s Announces Nordic Demo Schedule

SnowSports Industries America has released its initial plans for the 2014 Nordic Demo including on-site educational seminars, hosted industry gatherings and product testing during the two-day Nordic-specific event, all part of the On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest at Copper Mountain Resort (Feb. 3-4). The On-Snow Demo will follow the 2014 SIA Snow Show (Jan. 30-Feb. 2) held at the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver.

This year’s Nordic Demo, held for the first time at the same location and for the same days as the On-Snow Demo, will feature equipment, brands, models and sizes from brands including Alpina Sports Corp, Atomic USA Inc., Fischer Skis US, Madshus, Rossignol, Salomon USA and Swix Sport USA, Inc.

“We’re excited for the trail system Copper is creating specifically for this year’s Nordic Demo. The course will feature many designated short test loops with varied terrain, which is a great for comparing products,” commented SIA’s Nordic Director Reese Brown.

The seminars are 25 minutes each with a 5-minute Q & A and cover simple but effective techniques for small and mid-sized retailers and resorts. The series kicks off with a Nordic market trends update from SIA Director of Research Kelly Davis on February 2 at 6:30 p.m. Other seminars are scheduled for February 3 at 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and February 4 at 8:30 a.m., topics to be announced.

Registration for the 2014 SIA Snow Show or Nordic Demo can be done at SIAsnowshow.com/register. The $20 On-Snow Demo registration fee includes complete access to all portions of the Demo.
