Salewa North America Announces Rep Awards

Salewa North America, which operates the Dynafit, Salewa, Wild Country, and Pomoca brands in the United States and Canada, announced its sales rep awards for the winter 15/16 season at last week’s spring/summer 2017 sales meetings. Among the awards presented was the all-encompassing Oberalper Group Award, given to the group that embodies the Oberalp philosophy, approaching all four brands in a holistic way, while conveying each brand’s distinct personality. This group focused on growing all four brands together through brand building, dealer service, merchandising and events. This year’s Oberalp Group Award was given to the Wasatch Reps, covering Utah and Colorado: Sandy Brown, Pete Swenson and Ryan Ahern.

Additionally, awards for each individual brand were announced:

Salewa: The Salewa brand overall grew 9% in North America, but the efforts were headlined by Bryan Kuhn of Wild Onion Outdoors who has made a huge impact in the Mid-West.  Brian had a breakout year, opening several accounts that will continue to help grow the business and increase brand awareness in the category for years to come.

Dynafit: Dynafit recently prioritized a year-round approach to the brand, introducing lines of technical shoes and performance apparel to serve the year-round customer while continuing to build on it’s ever-popular winter business.  Bruno Damico, who was promoted to oversee West region (Calif., Ariz., Nev.) from the home office in Colorado, worked hard to turn the momentum around after many tough winters in the territory and thus came home with Dynafit’s Rep of the Year Award. Bruno truly embarrassed the 365 day vision, building brand awareness and supporting the Dynafit dealers in the West region.

Pomoca: Pomoca has historically been a smaller brand in North America, despite the fact that it produces premium OEM skins for many major ski companies, including Dynafit. Julian Stoddart of British Columbia, this year’s Pomoca Rep of the Year, worked hard with the team in Boulder and Europe, his western Canadian retailers and the result was strong sales growth for the territory.

“We have an incredible group of talented and hardworking sales representatives and groups in North America.  All four Salewa North America brands have huge growth potential, but it’s these people who hit the road day after day providing sales solutions, build strategic product assortments and provide stellar customer service to our retailers that make the difference,” reflected North American Sales Director, Steve Kropf. “We’re looking forward to many more years of success for all four brands while we strive to continue to support our specialty retailers.”
