The Running Industry Association (RIA) will host a working show for its members titled, the RIA KICK Show. The inaugural show, to be held in June 2019 in Denver, Colo., will feature 26 presenting brands and have space for 96 retail attendees.
The core purpose of the RIA KICK show is to create a working environment that fosters buying efficiency and connects retailers with brands in a new way, said the association.
“This is not a dog and pony show. It is thoughtfully planned boutique-style event designed to offer a clear return on investment for retail attendees and brands alike,” states Terry Schalow, RIA executive director. “Buyers will get presentations from product managers and store owners will get an unprecedented opportunity to meet with brand executives in a casual, conversational format – making KICK a truly unique experience.”
During the three days, attendees will go through two tracks. Day one and two are the Anchor Track that consists of line presentations from the top 14 brands in the channel. Day three is the Growth Track with additional presentations from leading accessory brands, as well as up-and-coming footwear and apparel brands.
In order to make the show affordable to retailers, the RIA will offer a rebate program that can earn attendees more than $1,000. In addition, the RIA does all the presentation scheduling for retailers that can be accessed through the show mobile application.
