Royal Robbins Builds on Sweater Legacy with Launch of Fall/Winter Collection

Outdoor adventure brand Royal Robbins unveils its latest apparel collection for fall 2024. Founded in 1968 by iconic climbers and adventurers, Liz and Royal Robbins, the brand has been trusted and worn by climbers and those seeking a life of adventure.

As one of the original U.S. outdoor brands, Royal Robbins has revolutionized the industry with a legacy of iconic styles. The goal always has been to create versatile, durable, and stylish products, while minimizing impact on the planet. Liz and Royal’s belief that nature and adventure are good for the soul shines through the fall/winter 2024 collection.

Leaning into its origin, Royal Robbins introduces Rockcraft Sweaters, 100 percent merino wool outdoor performance sweaters. They are made with 100 percent Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certified wool. Merino wool is comfortable and durable, offering natural warmth — wet or dry. The use of natural materials extends beyond wool, with hemp as the primary ingredient in the men’s and women’s Clouds Rest Hemp shirts.

Finally,  the brand’s all-time bestselling Desert Pucker and Mojave Pucker long-sleeve shirts are carbon neutral and are made with renewable beechwood.

Some 96 percent of styles in the fall 2024 line meet or exceed the brand’s highest sustainability standard, which dictates a product must be made with 50 percent or more preferred cotton, recycled polyester, traceable wool, preferred forest materials, hemp, or recycled nylon.

Among products from Royal Robbins in Fall 2024 are:

  • Rockcraft Wool Crew L/S (right; W+M) – This 100 percent merino wool 5-gauge sweater pays special tribute to Royal Robbins brand heritage. Wool sweaters have been a standard of performance apparel for generations, and the Rockcraft Wool Crew has incredible performance benefits—including moisture wicking, natural insulation, and excellent durability. Available in classic fairisle patterns and the brand’s unique solid color phantom patterns for women, and solid colors for men.

Rockcraft Wool Hoodie (left; Unisex) – This premium 100 percent merino wool hoodie comes in classic neutral colors and can be worn on its own or easily layered under a shacket or jacket. The 7-gauge jersey-stitch body with a 2×2 rib cuff and hem has a fashioned saddle shoulder, meaning less friction when wearing a backpack.

Clouds Rest Hemp L/S (Right; M+W) – A heavyweight adventure shirt, this durable button-up draws inspiration from the classic Royal Robbins archives. The Clouds Rest Hemp is made from a blend of soft, durable, odor-resistant, breathable hemp and organic cotton with recycled polyester. An oversized patch pocket on the left chest adds both style and functionality to the shirt, which can be layered over a tee or hoodie.

Desert Pucker Dry L/S (Left) and Mojave Pucker Dry L/S (M) – With more than 1 million sold, the all-time best-selling Royal Robbins shirt offers year-round adventure in a long sleeve style. Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2024, the cult-classic relaxed-fit Desert Pucker and standard fit Mojave Pucker are certified CarbonNeutral by Natural Capital Partners and made with breathable TENCELTM Modal fibers made from renewable beechwood. HeiQ Smart Temp body temperature-activated thermoregulation technology keeps you cool and dry.

The new fall collection will be available to consumers next September at specialty retailers, online at royalrobbins.com, and at Royal Robbins retail store locations in Denver; Berkeley and Modesto Calif.; and Seattle.
