“We’re thrilled to have closed this last round of financing and with it bring Chris on as CEO. This completes another milestone in RovR’s strong growth and evolution as a business,” De Francia said. “I look forward to working with Chris and our team – and we can’t wait to show our customers what’s next as we continue the RovR tradition of bringing the good times outside, wherever you go, as easily as possible.”

Prior to that, he was president of PEARL iZUMi, one of the cycling industry’s most iconic and beloved brands. Sword also served as the founder and president of Dynafit and Salewa’s North American subsidiary.

In each case he built and led teams that drove substantial sales and profit growth during his tenure. Sword will lead business strategy and growth initiatives for RovR, including how to best capitalize on the company’s recent round of funding and help with efficiency and growth.

He’ll oversee the company’s processes and be tasked with scaling the business to meet the growing demand, which includes hiring additional staff to meet the company’s ambitious goals.
